Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Utile, Inc. has provided the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum with strategic consulting for the planned expansion of their facility on the Fenway in Boston. In collaboration with Macomber Construction, Utile created a set of dynamic spreadsheets that linked a menu of program choices with their probable construction cost. This analytical tool helped the leadership of the Museum make informed decisions about the scope and cost of the planned project.  Once the project scope and budget were established, Utile served as a professional advisor to the architect selection committee. In November 2004, the Museum selected the Renzo Piano Building Workshop to design the museum expansion.  In addition to Tim Love’s role as the lead strategic planner at Utile, Love was the project director of a master plan for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum while a vice president at Machado & Silvetti Associates.
