Boston City Hall Conservation Management Plan wins Docomomo US 2021 Modernism in America Award

Our Conservation Management Plan for Boston City Hall (completed by Utile, OverUnder, and Building Conservation Associates working with the City of Boston) received an Award of Excellence from the Docomomo US 2021 Modernism in America Awards!

Jury member Kelsey Keith remarked that the document reflects “a tremendous feat to take a wide variety of inputs and create a coherent, succinct product. All imperiled concrete civic buildings should be so lucky to have a CMP that encapsulates the complexity required to preserve and evolve these buildings.” 

Supported in part by a grant from the Getty Foundation’s Keeping It Modern program, the CMP culminates several years of research and engagement to guide the building’s future evolution. The final document is available for download.
