The Roxbury Branch of the Boston Public Library Celebrates Official Ribbon Cutting

Last weekend Utile helped celebrate the grand reopening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the recently-renovated Roxbury Branch of the Boston Public Library! The event, hosted by the Boston Public Library in partnership with the Boston Book Festival, was the first time many eager community members were able to experience the library’s transformation in person. The event featured chalk art from Zahira Nur Truth and “Dream Street” story time with Roxbury-based author Tricia Elam Walker and artist Ekua Holmes.

Check out Morgan Rousseau’s coverage of the reopening in her Boston.com piece, Turning a new page: Roxbury finally celebrates its new and improved library, and be sure to stop by the newly opened library next time you are in the Nubian Square neighborhood!
