Utile joins MVVA and David Adjaye in transformation of Detroit’s West Riverfront Park

Utile is thrilled to be a part of the Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates (MVVA) and David Adjaye team for the transformation of Detroit’s West Riverfront Park. Through a competition hosted by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, the team’s winning proposal will guide the redevelopment of the 22-acre park in downtown Detroit. The competition – which received entries from over 80 firms globally – relied heavily on public participation, with the next phase of the process also including extensive community input to inform the details of the design. You can read more about the competition and winning design in The Architect’s Newspaper.

Utile is happy to continue to be a part of Detroit’s exciting growth, and to work with local Detroit partners LimnoTech (Ann Arbor), PEA (Detroit), and NTH Consultants (Northville), along with New York-based Mobility in Chain on the West Riverfront Park.
