Utile’s fresh faces of the Summer

Utile has been privileged to have six talented students working with us this summer in a variety of positions and disciplines.  They’ve kept our thinking fresh, our hearts young, and our work characteristically clear, crisp, and compelling.

This year we piloted two new summer programs, welcoming Kayla Murgo (third from right) as our Research Fellow, and Michelle Menkiti (second from right) and Young Ju (first on left) as participants in our Summer Practicum. Kayla is currently a Masters of Landscape Architecture candidate at RISD, Michelle is studying for her Bachelor of Science in Architecture at MIT, and Young is an Master of Architecture candidate at Harvard’s GSD.  All three expect to graduate in the spring of 2020!

We’ve also been delighted to host Tim Morrissey (second from left), who has joined us through an internship administered by Boston College’s Joseph E. Corcoran Center for Real Estate and Urban Action, and Serena Liang (third from left) and Sumin Lim (first on right). Both undergraduate students at Northeastern University’s School of Architecture who will be at Utile through the end of the year to complete their second Co-op.

We’re thrilled to have such an amazing team of young professionals working in every part of the office, and we know their futures are bright – keep an eye out for them!
