POSITION: DESIGNER (#331218E)

LOCATION: BOSTON, MA

Will collaborate on all phases of work, including programming client needs, conceptual design,
schematic design, and design development. Participate and assist in leading team meetings to
advance design options and ideas. Prepare and co-lead client presentations relative to their design
work. Use BIM to effectively draft design documents. Lead the design team in developing
effective practices for 3D modeling within their design team. Advance the firm’s BIM standards
and best practices for other representational tools. Modify and update working designs based on
review comments from leadership, stakeholders, and client teams. Refine existing design
techniques with respect to the latest innovations in the industry. Manage and execute design
assignments in a timely and productive manner. Evaluate and document site conditions and
constraints for construction projects. Review design requirements and determine iterative design
options for architectural projects. Maintain all documentation related to architectural designs and
construction conditions. Independently design, advance, and coordinate specific portions of a
project. Familiarize oneself with building and accessibility code requirements and design within
the parameters of each. Maintain expertise in 3D drawing software to be a leader in managing
the drawing sets. Participate in team meetings and organize actionable items for follow-up.
Assist with construction administration; organize, review and respond to communications from
the job site. Modify and update designs based on review comments from management and
clients. Provide project status updates to management and stakeholders on a regular basis. Assist
with zoning and regulatory project phases by analyzing existing land use and restrictions of the
project site. Prepare related graphic material and organizational strategies. Prepare office-wide
presentations to educate office staff on project status.

REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent education in Architecture, Design,
Environmental Architecture or in a closely related field plus 3 years of experience in
architectural designing, pre or post Master’s Degree.
