Jessy Yang

About Jessy:

Jessy is a Senior Architectural and Urban Designer at Utile. He is well versed in the design and metrics of building typology, complete streets, form-based zoning, and contemporary urban development. Since joining Utile in 2018, Jessy has led a diverse range of urban-scale projects that creatively orchestrate buildings, open space, and programs to foreground the public realm, including the Houston Concept Neighborhood Framework Plan (2023), the Assembly Square Marketplace Redevelopment Plan (on-going), the Fenway-Kenmore Transportation Action Plan (on-going), and the Littleton Common Form-Based Code (implemented 2021).

Jessy holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he received the Award for Outstanding Leadership in Urban Design. Prior to Utile, Jessy has practiced at CAZA Architects, Machado Silvetti, Asakura Robinson Company, and Page Southerland Page. Beyond practice, Jessy has taught design studios at the Boston Architectural College, Boston College, and Northeastern University.
