About Kathleen:
Kathleen joins Utile as a Fall 2026 Co-op. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a minor in Urban Landscape Studies at Northeastern University. Prior to joining Utile, she interned at TWS & Partners in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she contributed to the design and documentation of hospitality projects. She also completed her first co-op at Machado Silvetti in Boston, where she worked on a range of cultural, educational, and housing projects, assisting with design development, competitions, and project documentation.
Passionate about travel and experiencing different cultures, Kathleen participated in a summer program in Basel, Switzerland, where she studied graphic design, typography, and photography, and how these disciplines inform architectural design. She also spent a semester abroad in Segovia, Spain, studying the structural design of temporary wooden installations for public spaces. Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring the city, shooting film photography, attending live music, going on picnics, and watching basketball.
