About Petra:
Petra is a Senior Associate and Project Manager/Project Architect at Utile with over 16 years of experience leading a wide range of project types including civic, mixed-use, multi-family and non-profit projects. While at Utile Petra has led the successful delivery of numerous projects including the Dorchester (Grove Hall) Community Center, Sportsmen’s Tennis and Enrichment Center and 154 Broadway (the Guild), a certified Passive House multifamily residential project in Somerville utilizing CLT construction.
Prior to Utile Petra worked at Dencityworks Architecture in Brooklyn as Studio Director running the multifamily and commercial One South First and Ten Grand project in Brooklyn, NY as well as the renovation of the Domino Sugar Factory into Class A office space. Prior to Dencityworks Architecture, Petra worked at SOM in New York City as an Associate and Lead Technical Designer on the 1,000 ft tall 143-unit 35 Hudson Yards in Manhattan as well as other mixed-use commercial and hospitality projects. Her involvement in her early career from start to finish on the adaptive reuse of 510 5th Avenue, a landmarked and architecturally significant building, solidified her interest in detailing, solving complex coordination issues and seeing projects through from beginning to end. Petra is interested in and has experience managing complex projects that include a diverse team and challenging contextual constraints.
Petra is an integral member of the QA/QC group at Utile helping to develop and put into practice office standards and review documentation of other projects to ensure consistent quality. Petra is a registered Architect in the state of Massachusetts and New York. She holds an M.Arch from Columbia GSAPP and an undergraduate degree from Brown University. She lives in Arlington with her husband and two kids.
