As Chris Cochran writes in CNU’s Public Square, legalizing missing-middle housing is the easy part — getting it built is another problem entirely. Vermont’s 802 Homes initiative, developed in partnership with Utile, takes on that second challenge by pairing ten construction-ready plan sets with approval pathways, infrastructure coordination, and off-site construction strategies. Full construction documents are expected later this year, with a statewide rollout planned for December.
