We’re honored to share that Betty Greene Apartments has been recognized with a 2026 AIA National Housing Award.

Named for the late Betty Greene, longtime Urban Edge board chair and neighborhood housing advocate, this 65-unit Passive House certified development brings high-performance design to 100% affordable housing in Boston’s Jackson Square, steps from transit.

Betty Greene Apartments demonstrates that affordable housing can and should be a catalyst for shaping more equitable, sustainable, and beautiful cities.

A huge thank you to Urban Edge Housing for their vision and the partnership, and to our full design, consultant, and construction team, who navigated myriad challenges to bring this project to reality. We’re thrilled to have played a role in creating this opportunity for residents and community to thrive.
