In a moment when Hispanic Heritage Month events are being cancelled out of fear and our immigrant neighbors face escalating threats, celebration cannot be silent. Alina Kiliwa’s work reminds us that heritage is not nostalgia. It is communal presence, resistance, and voice. “NO ONE IS ILLEGAL. WE ARE ALL IMMIGRANTS. TODAS LAS FRONTERAS SON IMAGINARIAS.” These aren’t just commemorative words—they’re reminders of our shared humanity and that the best way to honor our communities is to stand with them, especially now.

“NO ONE IS ILLEGAL. WE ARE ALL IMMIGRANTS.
