This amenity space design for a suburban multi-family apartment community takes inspiration from its verdant courtyard to create a light-filled retreat accented with natural materials.

The amenity space is programmed with communal areas of different scales and distinct architectural characters and is conceived as an antidote to the generic sprawl of its surroundings. The wood screen walls, natural caning and decorative lighting modulate light in dramatic layers to focus on the connections to the courtyard. Each space is carefully sized to accommodate residents in both singles and groups to always feel vibrant and comfortable. The furniture, artwork and decorative elements support the project narrative as a curated and comfortable refuge from the daily grind.
