Camille Wimpe

About Camille:

Camille joined Utile in June 2025 as an architectural and urban designer. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Northeastern University. As a Boston-based renter, Camille has become fascinated by the varied residential typologies found in the Northeast. Her thesis explored rethinking the rights of renters in the context of Boston, envisioning a world where renters might be granted the power to individually or collectively repair and modify the building they occupy.

While at Northeastern, Camille completed a co-op at Bargmann Hendrie + Archetype, where she worked on the redesign of public housing projects in Belmont, and the design of a senior center in Newton. She also completed a co-op at RODE, where she worked on multi-family housing projects in Boston and Worcester. She has contributed to research on single-stair housing, and design-based zoning through a Northeastern Impact Engine grant.

Outside of work, you’ll often find Camille knitting, hosting board-game nights, or, in the summer, tending to her community garden plot in the Fens.
