About Eric:
Eric is an architect and researcher who joined Utile in 2024. His background brings together professional practice and design research, including work in computation, fabrication, and
robotics. Before joining Utile, he practiced in Georgia (USA) and New York, contributing to projects in historic preservation, higher education, and commercial architecture. At Utile, Eric has taken on a broad range of design responsibilities, from focused renovations and interior interventions to larger institutional and campus projects. He also serves as Director of Architecture, contributing to the firm’s broader design culture and architectural discourse.
Eric graduated with honors from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Architecture and received a Master of Architecture in Architectural Design with Distinction from the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London (UCL). Upon graduating, he was awarded the Architectural Design Gold Medal for his graduate design thesis and the research he conducted within the Living Architecture Lab in London. As a extension of his professional practice, he remains engaged in architectural education as a lecturer and studio instructor at Wentworth Institute of Technology. He has also served as a visiting critic for design juries at institutions throughout New England, including Northeastern University, RISD, and the Boston Architectural College, among others.
