November is Native American Heritage Month, an important time of year for us to recognize and give gratitude to the Indigenous people whose land we are on. Throughout this month, we have collaborated with Geraldine (Geri) Barney, a multidisciplinary Diné artist who works through printmaking, painting, and song. Geri painted this stunning piece for us, celebrating Mother Earth as seen in her home in Navajo Nation. She joined us for an artist talk where she not only shared her visual work, but played and sang six beautiful songs on drum, flute, and guitar, including a few of her original compositions.

Geri is an artist-in-residence at the North American Indian Center of Boston, where she has her studio. As you give thanks this week, please consider using the link in our bio to donate to them and support their work. Geri’s paintings will be featured at their Annual Arts and Crafts Fair on 12/7!
