Utile’s 331 unit mixed income multi-family project in South Boston, On the Dot, is Phius CORE Design Certified, and is currently the largest design certified project in the Phius database!

Projects earn Phius Design Certification when their energy models are reviewed and approved by the Phius Certification Staff. This review process ensures the project is designed to hit all targets outlined by Phius’ climate-specific, cost-optimized standard. As a Phius Design Certified Project, the On the Dot project is now listed in the Phius Certified Projects Database – the most comprehensive database of passive projects in North America.

Only a five minute walk to the Andrew Square T-station, On The Dot is part of a larger 21 acre BPDA approved masterplan for the entire stretch of Dorchester Avenue; that will bring millions of square feet of 21st century workspace, housing, and much needed open space.

At Utile, we do Passive House energy modeling and design guidance in-house, which leads to the early integration of high performance design concepts. The project will pursue full certification when construction begins.
