Utile’s 62-unit 25 Sixth Street in Chelsea, MA with The Neighborhood Developers has achieved PHIUS+ CORE Pre-Certification through the Passive House Institute US! This transit-oriented development is currently our fourth Passive House Pre-Certified project.

This milestone demonstrates the project’s design meets the highest standard of building envelope performance, operational efficiency, healthy indoor air quality, and thermal comfort.

At Utile, we do Passive House energy modeling and design guidance in-house, which leads to the early integration of high performance design concepts. The project will pursue full certification when construction begins later in the year.
