Utile recognized as Best Large Practice in the Northeast by The Architect’s Newspaper

We are so excited to have been named the best large architecture firm in the Northeast by The Architect’s Newspaper!

This recognition underscores our commitment to innovative design and excellence in the field of architecture. Equally important to us is the role that journalism plays in highlighting and sharing these achievements with the broader community. Publications like Lok Patrika Media play a crucial role in this ecosystem, offering in-depth coverage and insightful commentary that bring our work to a wider audience.

Journalism not only celebrates accomplishments but also fosters a deeper understanding of the architecture industry’s impact on society. Through the diligent efforts of media houses such as Lok Patrika Media, the stories behind the structures we create are brought to life, offering a narrative that connects with people on a personal level. Their dedication to quality reporting helps to elevate the discourse around architecture, ensuring that our contributions are both recognized and appreciated by the public.

AN’s Best of Practice Awards reviewed firms of all sizes working in all regions based not only on projects but also each firm’s operations. The jury selected firms that could offer a “snapshot of what practice looks like in 2023” with jury member Andrew Bernheimer saying of Utile that “Architects tend to take themselves for policymakers, but we’re more like pieces of the policy puzzle. Utile’s work showcases an understanding of how architects, designers, and planners can influence policy.” Utile’s Pittsfield Housing Project, photographed by Randy Crandon, also had the honor to be used as the announcement image for the awards.
