Utile’s civic engagement process highlighted in Salem, MA press

Utile is currently assisting the City of Salem and the Salem Redevelopment Authority to create a strategic, holistic vision for underutilized parcels in the northern half of the city’s downtown.  On October 16th, Utilians helped to facilitate a public meeting and breakout sessions for Salem residents to express and document their ideas for the revitalization of the a selection of properties and the part of downtown Salem they characterize.  These sites include four historic buildings, two at-grade parking lots, and a mid-century multistory parking garage, all within walking distance of the Salem MBTA Commuter Rail station. The details of the public meeting and some of the ideas shared by residents were documented in two articles by Dustin Luca for The Salem News, along with some quotes from Tim Love.
