Utile was RMJM’s urban design and retail consultant for the first-phase implementation of an ambitious development in Dubai. As part of their role, Utile planned more than 32,000 square meters of concentrated retail program organized along the edges of traditional urban space, and developed a specific methodology for the project that seeks a mix of retail sizes and types to maximize the vitality of the public realm.  The retail plan has been carefully calibrated to acknowledge a hierarchy of pedestrian routes through the sub-districts and the overall capacity of viable retail within the development.
