Last month the City of Hartford hosted the final public meeting for the Downtown North/Downtown West planning study at the Hartford Public Library. The presentation to a capacity room closed out an eight-month planning process. The plan, which covers a large portion of downtown (north of I-84) and the area around Union Station, lays out a strategic planning approach for future growth in underutilized portions of downtown,  and proposes new mixed-use development as well as recommendations for retrofitting current streets. Here’s to next steps!
