Boston Coastal Flood Resilience Design Guidelines wins 2020 APA Excellence in Sustainability Award!
We are excited to share that the American Planning Association (APA) Sustainable Communities Division has announced Boston’s Coastal Flood Resilience Design Guidelines as the recipient of the 2020 APA Excellence in Sustainability Award in the Policy, Law, or Tool category! The Guidelines, developed in collaboration with the City of Boston, BPDA, Kleinfelder, and Noble Wickersham & Hart, LLP, are designed to work with several initiatives as part of Climate Ready Boston, including neighborhood plans, public right-of-way guidance, and updated zoning.
While the Utile team was looking forward to accepting our award at the (now-online) APA Conference in Houston this week, we extend our congratulations to the other APA Excellence in Sustainability winners, and look forward to celebrating in-person these and future sustainable accomplishments recognized by the APA!
