After a three-year planning and public engagement process for the City of Cambridge that included over 165 hours of working group meetings and input from 5,000 Cantabrigians, the Envision Cambridge citywide plan is finally complete! Utile is proud to have led the dedicated project team, stakeholders, and members of the public in the development of this planning document that recommends 55 strategies and 183 new, expanded, or modified actions related to climate and environment, community well-being, economy, housing, mobility, and urban form.

City Manager Louis A. DePasquale states in the introductory pages to Envision Cambridge, “Our work has just begun. Future policies, programs, and developments will be shaped by Envision Cambridge for years to come, and implementation of the plan’s 183 actions will depend on your input and support, as well as budget decisions that will guide the plan’s priorities. Together, we can ensure that housing and transportation are accessible and that our economy continues to thrive. We can prepare our neighborhoods to be resilient to climate change and provide resources to make our city inclusive and welcoming to all.”

Utile is honored to have helped shape this vision to ensure a more sustainable, equitable, and connected Cambridge for generations to come!
